Stopping The Leak

I seek the knowledge of someone older and wiser

if any has ever tried to put a BG G-series into a BA they will notice the speedo sensor is longer on a BA and that there is a ledge inside the gearbox just beside the diff gear and it stops the Speedo gear from going in properly.

ive tried to use multiple o-rings along the whole thing to seal it and no luck, hasnt been too bad for a while but its just getting worse now and there is alot of oil coming out now

now could i possibly use some siliocone or instant gasket around the the opening on the gearbox and on the shaft of the Speedo gear and make a seal that way

or

cut the speedo gear down to make it fit

DISCUSS!

Might have to use the bg speedo and get a digital speed converter if all else fails. I did the opposite, put a BA g series gearbox in a BG chassis car (tx3 turbo)
