Holy S@#t!

Sorry, I could think of any more word to convey my message. Someone who grew up in the 90s with the last real performance cars before EPA rules killed them off. Knows this is a big step forward to more backwards thinking.

Seems Nissan are going back to a more performance orientated manufacturer of the 80s and 90s.

Toyota seem to be heading back that way also with the 86 and Levins.

Hopefully Mazda follow suit soon.

$388,000usd for the GT300 version. It be just like a R34 Nismo GTR i reckon, $140,000.

IT's not going back. It's not new - it's copying other market ideas.

Right now sales of Special NICHE models are selling - heaps of C63 Amgs going around
since the last M3 six - heaps. M5's two in my street the rare one is the original 1994 model.
So more of these specialised models are being produced.

Mazda laready semi jumped on with the MPS models or mazdaspeed. But yes it went back to one model.

It's mainly marketing tactic. Spend X amount on small models that bring in the rest.

Toyota - well they had produced this 86, but they haven't changed anything. No news of a larger sports car. No word of change or more hybrid variants.

Lexus is re releasing the ES - they dropped it hear for a bit due to a sales fall. Now realising Audi is selling it's A5 sports back and other marks are sellign equivlant mid to large luxury types that are not aimed at any performance angle.

Mazda who were some what kings of the Niche market are now at the other end Mass sales with both the Mazda 3 and Mazda 2. - Yet it was always like that fro the 323 /121. especillay the BG to BJ era and the 121 bubble was very popular.
Mazda 6 and 626 sales are still similar. Now class leading so much nor out there rare.

but it was the 929- Mx-6 -Mx-5 - going back Rx-5 323SS - Rx-7 those were mazdas Niche markets and they never really kicked are in them. Steady but not sales kits. But in many ways it' what sold them.

After all - Nissan must of loved the 200Sx s15 sales - they were strong - Yet at same time it bought stigma to the car for a bit, similar to the WRX. but like most trends they change.\
