so while bored at work today I decided to go through the 2nd hand wheels we have found a set of wheels in 16X7 +25 sits flush when dropped and sits about a inch of the ground at the pinch this is with pads that equates to tyre profile of 35-40. so if I run a 185/40/16 I can sit like this which I will be very happy with and after a bit of work I can have it laying frame also found out its not the swaybar that is stopping me from going lower its the lower control arms in the front and and chassis rails in the rear so looking at notching the frame rail in the rear and tiny chop in the front will put up pictures tomorrow when I hopefully start working on it but for now here are some pics from today

Quick question mate, do you think the evo wheels would have fit without coilovers and just on superlow springs?

you would need to run 3 degrees of camber so you won't rub I had my car lower then super lows when I had them on I had to slot the coils aswell

so update some bad some good
bad my old rims rubbed the accuair sensors on full lock which sucks ass good news got new rims 19X8+45 wait wtf don't worry im not mad but if I want to run either 16,17,18X7 I would need a +20 offset so I don't hit the sensors. problems with being the first laser/sp20 to run accuair anyway these wheels are temp wheels still playing to get it to sit where I want it I have to trim the inner fender plastic in the front and where the bumper and body in the rear. once I have the car sitting where I want it without worrying about damaging the rims I will be ordering a set of vip modular vx110 in same size anyway pics |

wow long time no update anyway taken the laser off the road and started making it a show/weekend car so plans are smoothed engine bay ac and p/s steering delete turbo install wall with 2 18 inch woofers and wattz of power (need to get the rear air struts revalved due to weight issues) and making the car lay frame
will take a while only working on it 1 day a week but day 1 stripped off the front end day 2 removed ac and power steering mostly and pulled out all the wiring to be cleaned up(the white crosses are holes that need to be filled) and joys of being low didnt get a pic but the gear box has been taken off along with drive shafts. next week engine will be out and start planning what im gonna do with the brake lines and extending wires so i can hide the fuse box. |
