oh yeah.... that exhaust tip reminds me a lot of the Mazdaspeed USA muffler (which was made by bosal and it's rubbish)

Cooking your lights is dead simple; low heat (NOT a gas oven!!!), and leave the light unit on a couple of blocks of wood.

Check every 5 minutes until the tabs start to move, then every minute or so.

You'll only go wrong if you have it up to hot (i.e. above 150C), or leave them in there too long (i.e. forget to check them!).

Just remember, when you do pry them apart, the plastic and glue will be VERY hot! I lost a few layers of skin when I did mine

lol thanks man, umm I think it's just a standard sports exhaust I got it done at a place on Parra road in Leicchardt, i think its called fastech mufflers
http://www.fastechmufflers.com.au/
thats it there actually and as for the roof rust... it's there just not that noticeable i guess... and dude your car looks so nice, those wheels suit it really nicely.

sooooo its late and im bored, so I might as well update this thingy.

As a few of you may know I recently performed an engine swap. Reason being was to avoid changing the timing belt and to get a younger engine and I'm happy with the outcome because I made all my money back. Anyways the following pic is of when we just pulled off the bonnet ready to start on ripping the motor out.

the next couple of photos are the few I snapped to know what goes where just in case lol

ok so heres when we lifted her up and started removing all the main parts.

Just before shes about to come out:

and now shes finally out! I was ****ting bricks when we were pulling it out, we used a chain i found floating around the garage to lift the engine

so that was night 1...

second day came round and it just slotted right in

finished product:

so all was well, we had a feed and decided to turn it on for the first time, thankfully we were all sweet so we lowered it off the jacks and then i took her for a spin. unfortunately as soon as i went to leave my driveway as the car picked up speed a really loud squeal started... this left me and my mate clueless, he called up his mechanic and thankfully it was just the brake shield touching against the disc, so once that was settled i took her out on the road, no bonnet and all, and can honestly say was the best thing ive done for the car... oh the when I purchased the engine I got a whole list of new parts: Injen CAI, starter motor, steering and ac pump, alternator, gearbox and engine.

I couldnt have done any of this without the help of 3 of my mates Michael, Jimmy and Paul. Anyways thats all thats been done up until now, in the near future im looking at tints, possibly coilovers and I'd like new wheels and to be able to do a brake upgrade.

Umm new motor had 110kms as oppose to 198kms on the old one, the new motor had a new gearbox, ac and steering pump, alternator and starter motor, the timing belt had also just been done with gates belts, I don't know if it's just me or not but the new motor hammers ;-)

nice

thats good to see... its much better to work on a motor when its out of the engine

the old motor probably had low comp.. or burnt out vavle stem seals.. my old sp20 had burn out valve stem seals from to much hard driving... oops and it only had 123 000kms on it when i sold it.. haha

I can easily get some Cx-7 wheels. The neighbour has a cx-7, so tempting not to steal them haha. Im sure they wont notice where they went *shifty eyes*

A whole lot of work to avoid changing the timing belt Glad that the new motor is much better than the old one!

Lol meh Hahaha and as for what wheels I don't know about cx7 wheels, I was thinking more along the lines of rx8's or enkei raijan's or mps series 2 wheels but definitely coil overs is on the cards now.
