car higher on one side

hi guys

ok my car is weird, it's like the post from a while ago about the car being lower on one side

except with my car it's higher on the left rear side.

my ba hatch has been lowered on king springs low all round for about year now and just recently i've noticed that the left rear side looks higher between the top of the tyre to the guard. i'm not sure whether it's because on the rear right side i have a brand new tyre (cos the old one had a massive puncture and was unrepairable) and the left rear is nearing bald???

would it to do with struts, although the car isn't bouncy, or the shocks?

the shocks shouldn't really have anything to do with the height of the ride, unless they are damaged or bent or anything, as all they do is slow the rate of movement of the spring, not hold the weight of the car.

i think shocks hold the car up as well cos if u just put a car on springs, it will sit very low.

The only part of the shock that changes spring height is the spring platform.
King springs have a 5mm+- allowance for variation, Whiteline even more.
Try swapping front or rear springs left for right or using a tape measure to check the height from the inside top of each guard to the ground and see if there is a difference and what it is.

+-5mm acceptable variation on Kings eh? That would explain why City Suspension who only deal in Kings were so surprised when I was the first car they ever saw to achieve perfect equalibrium with my Eibachs, ie: 555mm to the guard on each corner!

Eibach FTW!
