These are very good brakes. I only started using then correctly yesterday and the Rainbow Beach Cruise. Braking from 160-80kph, which was very painful due to my seat belt clawing into my shoulder. The stopping power is great. I ate steering wheel multiple times on that day. After 11 attempts at the braking test, I gave up on it. Still with no fade. Very happy with that.

If you look at the 3rd pic. The rotors are wider and have more ventilation area the the originals / factory fitted. They are also 2mm bigger in diameter - which leads me to believe te RDA have manufactured these using the MX5 rotors sizes.

Have track day a Queensland Raceway on 17th of Feb... More details to come.

Ryan

p.s. Big cheers to GSL RallySport for hooking me up. I'll be back again.

why you ask, because DBA don't make a Slotted ONLY disc for the SOHC front brakes only available upgrade is the DBA gold's which are the slotted and cross drilled

No, and if anything cross drilled in a street application reduces your braking... Even my rally car doesn't have slotted or drilled rotors, pads and fluid are always the weak point... Less meat on the rotor means less ability to disperse heat... The ONLY advantages of cross drilled on a race car, is less rotational mass, and less unsprung weight which means greater ability to tune suspension, neither of which are of concern in a road car wotsoever...

The ONLY time i would suggest going cross drilled is for a 4wd regularly driven on the beach, or if you're chasing extra macca's cred points!

Quite possible - obviously the 1.8L MX5 rotors, in Aussie speak pre-2001 or in US parlance (1.8L "regular" non sport).

The 2001+ are bigger again, and yes you can fit them if you could take the caliper out a bit, which needs the v6 knuckles, and then you'd just end up using the 2001+ rotors, v6 calipers, 4 stud hubs... At the rear you need change to the MX5 caliper brackets to make the 276mm rears happen

Nice looking setup though...

A.

Ok, now have pricing on SOHC 1.6/1.8 Discs 531/532...

Front:
DBA532 Slotted - $265pr
RDA532 Slotted - $180pr

Rear (1.8 SOHC Only):
DBA531 Slotted - $265pr
RDA531 Slotted - $200pr

Price on Lucas Pads for the front was $60...

Should have them all up on the shop soon, and the package deal price for the 1.8 SOHC will be as per the DOHC!
