Astina spark plugs

Hi all,

What are they spark plugs for a BJ 1.6/ZM and 1.8/FP engines?

I use NGK brand BKR6E-11s for my 1.8/BP engine. Are they the same plugs used?

Ryan

A fair few of the US boys run the long reach (ZFR series) plugs in their MSP's and most of them will go for the "colder" plugs (e.g. ZFR6F-11 and ZFR7F-11).

"Colder" spark plugs get rid of heat between combustion cycles and will generally help prevent detonation. This is one of the better explanations about "colder" spark plugs:
http://auto.howstuffworks.com/ignition-system2.htm

The higher the number, the "colder" the spark plug is - i.e. the better it will dissipate heat.

NB: NGK and Bosch numbers work opposite to each other as far as hot and cold go. And incidentally, I prefer NGK.
