How though, it's a BP SOHC and he's got the correct power rating for it?

Anal about what though? I don't get it. What he's said is completely correct.
I'm just being difficult now

QUESTION: why the hell cannot i figure out this alarm business! found everything i need + more wire wise but when i lock it this particular model of alarm senses if the doors have been shut or not and goes off 5 seconds after its been locked with something open... my dilemma is ive tried tapping into the drivers side door switch, the 12v switch wire to the roof light (which goes off/drops the voltage after a second or 2) and am now faced with a car which unlocks but cant lock :P
also the siren is really quiet... but ill get to that later, at the moment its actually quite conveient)

...did you try shutting the door?
and most DIY alarm kits you can hook up to the horn instead

an alarm will go off if a door is open...as it is a warning to say that it isnt closed and wont be locked...

LOL i know that but i cannot get it not to go off! if i leave the plug out which contains: fuel cut, starter motor, boot sensor, acc and the darn door open sensor it lock/unlocks fine but auto locks again becuase the door hasnt been opened and without the open door sensor it cannot tell if its open/shut... with it connected - as soon as i lock it it still thinks the door is open. tried wiring it to: the drivers door switch, the cabin light, the door light on the actual dash, +12v, ground...... still no dice. any further suggestions. the kit can sense a positive or negative switch (with a jumper to select - and yes ive tried them in all different positions too!)

lets say hypothetically that someone has lost a couple of screws and bolts from his car...now hypothetically if he takes one too a bolt and steel shop they should be able to make some replacements/or find some at least

hypothetically any nut/bolt can be sourced from your local nut 'n' bolt shop as long as you have a sample. I normaly choose Saturday morning 'cos they are unlikely to be busy and more likely help you with what is really a pissy purchase. Buy some spares just to make the purchase viable.
I wanted some nuts to fit my strut brace, needed four bought twelve still got change from a fiver, and have used some since anyway.

The simplest way to run an oil cooler would be get an oil filter relocation kit and run the oil cooler on the return line (from the filter back to the engine).
