So, haven't updated this in while. Since December:
Engine stripped down: - looks like there's been a bit of pinging - enough that the BPT head is fubar lol - pistons rings were never installed properly - gaps were in the same spot on the piston! - crank, pistons and block fine So: - new NA head has been ported and polished - Toda 1.0mm head gasket sourced from Japan Engine being built next week! Much the same specs as the previous build, about the only changes are the head gasket, new PAR conrods and the NA BP head. Oh, and a new Mazdaspeed rolled-edge slash-cut exhaust tip sourced.

I hadn't realised i didn't post any pics. I'll take some when i get the car back.
But i'm going to redo it in the futur anyway, as i'm not completely happy with it.

New toy to add to the pile. 2.5mm enlarged. Intake is being ported to match.
Hopefully it'll be put to use soon

how much it cost you? about 3 years ago i got estimated $150 to enlarge the same 2.5mm. choose that size as supposedly the intake manifold required no mods.

Ah, more that that! But i also needed another TB to use as a base so it was about $250 including that.

I don't see the screws being flared/flattened out at the ends, after installation... this I think is a potential problem... the stock throttle screws are flared/flattened out to prevent them from backing out.... from what I read on the MX-5 forums, even loctite isn't fully safe because the harmonics/vibrations can shake it all loose! I think you should install slightly longer screws, then weld or flatten them out so they are oblong to prevent them from backing out! Even my Autoexe big throttle is this way.... they tapped down the ends so that the screw ends are flared out, then they flatted out the sides so that it's oblong

This year! LOL. No idea when though. All sorts of **** going on, including court cases with suppliers and just timewasting bull**** like that.
Have bought a few other things for it lately though. Genuine MS, never seen them before. New in the packaging! Means my HKS ones will be for sale soon. And one of these carbon bonnets.
