Maybe, can't remember anymore.

I'll take a look at the wreckers next time i go for some of these. they aren't too hard to find.

i even got in my favourite upside down hanging off the dashboard position on the passenger side and couldnt see a thing even with my new 10LED torch...

it's behind a plastic cover that meets the door on the left wall, i think. The white plug pictured on the previous page will be clipped to a metal bracket, about the same level as the bottom of the glovebox.

OK went to Mazda at Aspley for the relay but they had none in stock. The part number is H30067740 which is 30 amps and is about $60. Is also the same as the horn relay. Bit too expensive I personally think so tried Jaycar on the way home and they only have the same pinout as the regular relays but only cost $10. Will try the wreckers and see if they have any but if all else fails will get the Jaycar one and wire it in.

thats odd ... from the information i have here the horn relay is its own relay.
its a 4 terminal type B.

but just to help you out incase u go the cheap route like me

i bought an $8.95 relay from jaycar.
12volt 20amp

4 pins (not in the mazda format so i had to wire)

the pins in the car relay plug are as such
^ (connector lock in pin)
AB
CD (this is how im labelling them, diagram below labels them differently)

and on the relay from jaycar
- _ (4 3)
|| (1 2)

when wiring it this way
A = 3
B = 2
C = 1
D = 4

to build these wires i used 4mm 20amp auto wire.
4 x 4.8mm spade connectors (male)
2 x 4.8mm tab connectors (female)
2 x 6.4mm tab connectors (female)
alternatively instead of using spade connectors because i had none
i just beat the tab connectors with a hammer until they were flat

you want 4 spade connector males, one on each wire. these plug into the car.
and the tab connectors just go one each onto the wires in order to plug into the relay.

wire cutters and crimpers etc.

join it all up

piece of cake

just spent an hour with my test light and multimeter figuring all this out
and just successfully made my foglights come to life

best of luck

Called the wreckers (sandgate) to see if they had any of these relays and was told to try repco or autobarn and if no luck their bring one in. Unfortunately Repco and Autobarn only stock the Narva line which is useless for this type of plug unless I do what mikey_something did. So trundled upto Sandgate wreckers, after seeing the relay in the passenger well but on the right side fitted in perfectly and worked, but they had none there even after looking through a wrecked V6 they had there. Was seriously considering the Jaycar equivalent but on a whim went down to Moorooka to try them. In luck he had three of them and gave them to me for free. Yippee. Awesome place there. Got home plugged it all in and YAY fog lights are now on the switch working.

Also if anyone wants one these as I have 2 spare now just PM me and will see what I can do.

Cheers Jarrod

glad that worked out for you!

for future reference if someone is looking for these relays
the foglights share the same relay type as the
A/C
condesner fan no. 1
condenser fan no. 2
cooling fan no. 2
cooling fan no. 3
rear window defroster
TNS
woofer
trunk lid opener
seat warmer
power window
main

any of those relays will fit

There we go, copped a fine for my foglights. Claimed they were just driving lights and he was fairly convinced until he saw "f-fog" on the dashboard.
Knew the rule so, deserved lol.
