yeah I know what ya mean, thats why half the parts I would like from the US arent accessible due to rediculous shipping

Well the mounts came in at $523aud, so they should be packed up and ready to ship hopefully by the end of the week

Darryl, unfortunately wasnt able to get combined shipping due being 2 seperate orders? Im just hoping mine are good enough to use

So, now with the mounts in transit, and possibly a new larger 22mm Progress rear bar being purchased in a fortnights time, I went searching for more mods, and of course ebay america was involved

im looking at more bracing, the car goes & stops fine, now for some added fun for the corners

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAZDA...Q5fAccessories

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/90-91...Q5fAccessories

and a photo taken from M247..

The bottom one is a floor brace, and the bottom is a harness brace, basically keeping the middle of the car rigid...

so yeah, not really an update, but moreso what I want now

you BJ owners are lucky, try finding underbody/interior bracing for BAs. If you find it its normally unavailable anyway

if you do that get you'll probably have to put crash padding on it for the popo to leave you alone.

I think we're just lucky that the BJ has such a large following over in the states

So I was a bit naughty on the weekend, and bought yet another Intake! Not saying much until I receive it, which will be in around 3 weeks

makes it solid to make it not move up and down...the bar allows you to put in a harness by the looks of it...i thought it looked like a **** idea to start with, but now after looking at it properly looks alright...

The floor brace or the Harness Bar?

The Harness bar mounts at both top & bottom seat belt bolts, and am unsure of the floor brace, but would think the bottom seat belt mount..

This confirms that they indeed mount on the same seat belt mount...

So now I am unsure of what brace I want, as I have to worry about the po po being able to see the harness brace when its in, so more thinking is needed...

hmmmmmmm.......Marc, you don't reckon the rear floor brace is too cumbersome for passengers? Unless you don't plan on having them often enough I suppose Also, the brace in above pic that goes along back of front seats, you'd wanna make sure your passengers either are short or they wear crash helmuts in case of emergency pull up

Isn't there underbody braces you can consider. Like, anchor points? Also, with the rear floor brace, you'd wanna ensure the amp doesn't touch the piping

yeah that could be pretty dangerous for passengers. but would those bars do much for body ridgidity that the other under body braces/bars cant do? other than hold hernesses of course.

I dont have backseat passengers, so thats not a problem, and I have my amp (not running at the mo due to no sub in boot) mounted to the rear seat

I have also emailed ultra racing (same mob davoaust emailed about braces for the BA) to see if they make any other underbody bracing, so will wait till I receive an email from them

i dont like the floor braces...out of the 2 i like the mid body one...but the thing about these is you cantake them out for everyday driving and just use them for track days and so on...

That floor brace is a POS sorry. Gav has spoken...

I think the taxi brace is pure wank, but it has a nice finish to it, and is made much better than that HOS floor brace. But do you really need it? Do you even have a rear strut brace yet?

Gav.
