Nice one. It's not series 3 with the crappy Ca20 twin spark. So your on a winner.
I had S3 bluebird wagon in blue. best thing for carrying crap and not fuel consumption it's got the better rear end for hardcore stuff - AKA leaf rear end for drag racing - if you went that way. It's a nice clean find. Don't listen to crap about the old L engine being crap they are so strong you can do all sorts of crap too them. Both positive and negative. If you Full retro, there was in the mid 80's a tuning company that put on blow through turbo kits onto the TRX's. Find one of them if your lucky. Power-steering is not even needed on it. it's RWD and so easy my mother parked mine. |

Hey there,
never seen the gtr model, but the gts is honeslty pretty dam good, and loud, i have the gts my miss car, and honestly great and easy, cause i think the gtr has a smaller siren ? and maybe other things. but rhino is a good brand my opinion . regarding gts never heard it on a car, again gts is pretty good, i mean money wise and what it does . PS : your bluebird looks super clean as if it came out of the showroom - lol - in the picture . |

So this morning, got up early, and headed to Toowoomba to visit the family, but more importantly pick up and bring home the Bluebird!
So after signing all the necessary paperwork, I am now the owner of a Bluebird Here's some photos of it at the inlaws place And one of the Odometer, and no, they are original k's Driving it is pretty good to any early 80's car, but will be replacing the shocks & springs sometime soon anyways. Also the window has perished, as I was getting noise coming in when on the highway, So what needs doing? Vacuum & cleanout Degrease, wash & polish Replace Drivers Window rubber Fit Cd Player Purchase & fit front speakers rims (TRX 15" rims) Shocks & lowered Springs So the next thing to happen will be to transfer rego & get some insurance, not that it will be too hard Cheers Marc

Vacuum & cleanout Degrease, wash & polish Replace Drivers Window rubber Cd Player & fit front speakers rims (TRX 15" rims or Old school Work Emotions (15x6.5")) Shocks & lowered Springs Alarm Tint windows Little exhaust (maybe!) Insure! This is a budget daily, so I dont wanna be spending too much on it, wedding comes first I installed Cadence 6.5" speakers into the Bluebird this afternoon, along with half installing a Pioneer head deck Why its only half done is cause all of the signal wires for the speakers are all white with different coloured stripes!

Ah I'll give that a try tomorrow arv, going to go to supercheap after work and get some more connectors & multimeter just to be on the safe side after that I'll be ripping out the dremel & making a new fascia for the new headunit to sit on

Have a look around for a set of 180B SSS carbs. Not the easiest to tune but would be a nice addition to the L20B, along with a set of extractors.

Nothing wrong with taking in the scenery
Well after 3.5hrs of farkin around, I finally got it wired up, had to run a battery cable from the battery, and just played around with the wires till they were all good in regards to speakers... Never doing that again!
