Negative 2 Camber on rear
Hey Guys, I went to my local tyre place this morning to get a wheel stud replaced and asked also if they could put -2 camber on the rear.. mainly to prevent the outside of my tyres scrubbing the guards after putting some wheel spacers on.
I was told that it wasn't possible. Is this correct or are they just being an ethical business by saying so? |

If can be done, but it's not within the limits of the standard adjustment.
You'll need camber bolts or adjustable strut tops

As standard? Probably about 0.3°, but it's been too long since i had standard suspension to know for sure.

Standard suspension being springs rather than coilovers? Or stock suspension?

Stock struts, either with standard or aftermarket springs. Thought you'll probably get slightly more camber due to the lower height of aftermarket springs.

i'd be losing the wheel spacers before using -2 degree camber.
you'll be replacing your tyres in 15,000km as the insides will wear quickly. |

Yea I did think of that. The spacers alone are costing me $200 off a mate, then rolling guards / camber adjustment will be setting me back more. Really not worth it considering it's only a slight VISUAL improvement and possibly a slight handling improvement with negative camber if I throw it around corners... which I don't.
Thanks all. |

1st negative camber on the back will not impact your handling that great of a deal...
2nd spacers are illegal 3rd unless the spacers ur friend is sellign you are made of GOLD (which would be useless as gold is poor structurally) or titanium then hes not much of a friend im pretty sure u can get them cheaper as well... that was jst the 1st link i ebayed.. have fun with that. sorry if i am rude its just late n im trying to get the point across |

Not rude at all.
Everything you said though, I was aware of, or already said in one way or another. |

General rule is put about 0.5 degree MORE negative camber on the back of a FWD... Generally to get that you'd need to go to camber bolts (cold shiver) or strut tops. Or in DMS adjustment washers...
