QUESTION about my 97 BA hatchback

so i'm fairly new to the whole working on cars and learning the specs for things, differences and etc.

recently i need to get a new combination switch for my BA hatchback cause my headlights aren't working and the only thing we have fiddled with was the combo switch (iv checked fuses even relay nothing). i did see like a flash on the headlight lever which was like only for a split second.

anyhow what i wanna ask is can i use a BA 4dr combo switch for its replacement? and i was told that apparently they changed the combination switch between somewhere between 94-98, i cant find anything on the internet about it so i thought i pick your brains haha.

You'll need one specific to your year and body, as there's about 6 different versions
