You want it to rev to 9000 reliably? Then you're looking at $10-20k right there.
You can build slightly more sensible 2.9L stroker motor, but it's going to cost. http://www.mx6.com/forums/2g-mx6-gen...lze-3-0-a.html But all that power of a 200kw atw car, you're going to smash gearboxes - simple as that. You don't need to rev to 9000 to make heaps of power and torque - this is not a Honda.

Yeah, that's what i linked that for - the TKT info you posted above.
But gearboxwise: - LSD, - a HD or carbon/ceramic clutch. NOT a button - they're too harsh for a high power G. - straight cut 3rd gear. Or a PAR full dog-engagement gearset, with billet shafts. But then you'll just run into gearbox casing issues - the casings aren't super strong.

But why do you wanna rev this engine that hard? If you want a high revving engine. Get a rotary. Car, not engine btw. They are made to work @ this efficiency range your wanting!
With the ZE, even if you strengthen the gearbox & add a LSD. Why are you after this rev range? You still haven't mentioned this really. 2 things you MUST do to get any engine (other than a rotary) to rev up to this range. 1) for an NA build - high comp pistons, as you've mentioned & SA engine management system to deliver the AFR's you'll need to prevent detonation. NOT to mention extensive work on heads & manifolds, (P&P etc) cam work, do I need to bore everyone...no of course not 2) for a boosted build - low comp alloy pistons & very high boost levels, SUPPOSING the bottom end will handle it after forking out $$$$'s, as others have been adding.

For the love all of all things good - please DO NOT BUY from THOMAS KNIGHT.
He has a horrible reputation on the American forums. By all means, use the information you posted as a shopping list, or for research, or whatever. But source your parts from somewhere else.

why are you wanting to get this much power anyway?
do use it for track days or drags events? if your trying to get faster times try losing some of the weight in the car also i might add 2 more things cars have rev limiters for a reason to stop damage if your trying contiously to hit 7k rpm your gonna do damage and/or wearing out parts excessively fast the other point is that there is no power or torque up that high in a V6 or any other convientional engine (only hondas and mitsubishis new mivecs do create power too about 6500 rpm) its much better to change earlier to maintain the powerband |

Every engine has an efficiency range. This takes into account the cubic inch, head/s design, bore, stroke......regardless of the engine management system.
IE: A twin cam 4 banger that has any performance capabilities form factory will have heads that can flow. A certain bore/stroke ratio as part of engine displacement design. A large SOHC straight six like the BA Falcon. Compare the NA XR6 to the XR6T....what do you first notice? Bottom end? Manifold differences obviously but beyond this, modification engineering is all about efficiency of a particular donk. How do we get this thing to boogie? What is it's 'inherent' capabilities? Where does this donk shine? You don't build a Rolls Royce engine so you can get 9krpm out of it. You build it so by the time it is revving @ say 4krpm, it is working in/at it's efficiency range! On the other hand. A 1.6/1.8L twin cam you may want it to rev to 8krpm & be in it's efficiency range between 5-8krpm. BUT!!!!! Spending another 2k to get this ALREADY engineered engine to rev to 9krpm, when it's NOT designed to WORK @ this range, may in fact result in NO extra kw/hp, even on the dyno! Only higher boost will achieve this & even then, yes even then.....it may not be more than 20-30wkw's! The power you see is already there back @ 8krpm. OK? I know of an engine that was pushed past it's efficiency range from 6500rpm to 9300rpm. At 7k it was producing 450rwhp & @ 9.3k, 480 odd......now if you can't see the stupidity of duplicating this than I don't know what to say?

do you realise a stroker kit is designed to produce power lower in the rev range? Less acceleration traded off for more torque, top end power? The complete opposite to the ZE?
