And the ONLY reason you watch SBS is for the foreign, intellectual movies, and world news

SBS would be my fav channel, ABC second, not one for commerical stations I am to much of a consiracy theorist and I get mad at blatant product placement.

Hot Docs, world news, South Park, Rallies, track racing, but they do show the most depressing movies, but you can never pick what will happen,
Example,
Me and a mate home latish from a night on the piss, playing chess and flick thru whats on SWEEET kung fu movie on yeahhaaa, watching that for a bit as chess was hurting the head, after about half an hour of almost non stop fighting scenes, young apprentice talking to his 80 something master over a tea cereomy or something and the master says "I would die a happy man if you sleep with me tonight" exchange sideways glances Huh must de dodgy subtitles, then 80 year old master and teenage aprentice start getting it on,
now who saw that coming, we didn't
it didn't really make it a great movie but you get the point,

It did inspire us back to chess,

And unfortunatly did not see the review, would of been somewthing like “a great kung fu with touches of the crying game thrown in”

saw Top Gear last night, good show,
esp when watching it at the house of someone you have talked out of buying an X3.
“A car so ugly it makes small children want to cry” I am stealing that line.
Not that a murano is much better, (yeah I hate 4wds, all ugly except a cayenne which is just a 4wd that is ashamed of itself)

I remember watching something on tv..then switching around...left it on some movie on SBS where i couldn't figure out whats going on....go for a drink and my housemate and i start chatting..walk back into my room talking..and then theres like the 2 guys in the movie getting it on every which way possible....try explaining your way out of that....I think just the few seconds I saw while trying to turn it off damaged me for life.
