Just think back to when you're standing in sand at the beaches shoreline.. when the wave goes back out you get that feeling that you're sinking.. i guess a 2 tonne ute would get the sinking feeling too!

$10 says he was driving in the edge of the water and lost it.

I've seen pics of it happening to guys in the Pajero Club i used to be involved in. It's easy to stuff it up if you're too far in the water, and next thing you know your car is sucked out - and spat back in a few days half sunk in the beach.
