Any wheel will fit, but removing your airbag is illegal and will probably make the light stay n on your dash. Check in here for what's suitable for airbag-equipped cars - http://www.astinagt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9760

What's the easiest way to tell if you have an airbag? 96 BA Hatch I've been told it might have one but I have no idea. And there's no point buying a wheel till I know.

It should say airbag on it, the horn buttons will be on the spokes and not in the centre, and you should have an airbag light come on in your dial cluster

Is it illegal to have a non-airbag steering wheel?

Only if your came with an airbag originally - then you've got to keep one. Otherwise you can put what you want on.

Oh that makes sense then. I was wondering why they sell steering wheels at auto places if it's illegal to have them!

take note the Fc won't fit some model cars. Eg 626 GD-87 -onward or BA or similar internal lengths and stuff.

Will problery fit aearlier Bg and even earlier again. mx5 and Fd seem to fit fine. I had a friend use one of my old Mx-5 momo's on his 323 BA

i have a FC wheel on my 89 GD right now. bolts up fine. but doesnt kill the turn indicators when taking a turn. so you have to remember to do it yourself. kinda a bitch for a week. but then it becomes 2nd nature, and you dont even think about it.
