Has Anyone???
Has anyone dropped the sump outta their astina? I have a 95 BA 1.8 and the main sealing surface on the sump is leaking a bit. It looks like it will come off pretty easy but I don't know if it'll get past the exhaust.....
I'm also considering painting the rocker cover. Was thinking red or black and sanding the raised lettering back and putting a layer of clear on top... Thoughts anyone? Sub Will be interesting to see how much gunk there is in the sump... |

Dont do black wont have the in your face look you are looking for.
My IC piping is black and is great for cops and mechanics etc they just think its a standard motor at first look but on the other hand doesn't have the ta-da impact when I show car mates either. Red is a nice colour thats what I want to do in either a straight red 2pak tinter with a gloss clearcoat or more likely I will get mine in red annodised which costs a bit over $100. Regards Mal p.s There is always polish as well.

Rocker Cover: I've got my BPT one polished, but am intending to get my spare BG cam cover painted in Passion Rose (same color as my car)

I'v never attempted to remove the sump, if removing the exhaust from the manifold is the only thing holding you back then go 4 it.
Note: The bend from the manifold is also bolted to the block but isn't a biggie. Rod
