Guys does the CE04D16 means 1.6ltr DOHC engine? If so, I will return the car to the seller and get back my money... He said it is a 1.8...

u'd be hard pressed to find a 1.6l in australia?
thats more a europe thing and even then ive never heard of 1.6 only 1.5l

im guessing the 16 if anything is the amount of valves
someone with more knowledge will help you with that

actually the sticker on the inside of ur drivers door should say engine capacity if you're still troubled by it...
from memory... and its too hot in the garage to be bothered to go check if it really is there for you :P

your change of ownership papers will have the engine number on it.

BPxxxxxx = 1.8
B6xxxxxx = 1.6

Done research through the web and it said is a 1.8ltr. good news xD
Well the bad news is, before today, the car just feels like it is stopping but did not. Just now it totally stop. I also noticed one thing although not 100% sure if thats the cause but the car temperature is always below C. It will only goes up after I start the car for 5 minutes. I guess this is the cause of the car rough idle? or mayb not xD

no, doubt it, mine takes 5mins to fully warm up (to 1/2way on the temp, maybe a little less than half way..)

hope it goes ok for you bud!

ok guys, now I'm pretty sure is because of the temperature. Whenever I heat it up properly it will not rough idle. If the engine is cold then it will rough idle. Phew at last I know what's the problem. Gonna get this fix tomorrow.... hope it wont cost too much. Well, the seller said I can claim back the money anyway, so hahaha

TIP: get him to fix then get it off him, give it 2 weeks then if he hasn't fixed complain loudly and investigate legal options. at the end of the day, dealerships will rip you off selling crap. take it in tomorrow in my opinion and say FIX!

as above... drive it in. write it out what needs doing and why you want it... most places have a 7day warranty anyway??? this is stupid... reminds me i will never buy from a car yard

took me 6mths to get insurance money off QBE... good luck and go straight for small claims like tonyd said, nothing more you can do!

I bought it from a private seller... I think I'm still too naive... since its my first time buying a car.. The mechanic told me that I should have let him check before I bought it... I've learnt my lesson I guess and mayb I deserve it because I actually believe what they said...

if it is from a private seller then take them to court... if they never gave u the transfer of rego papers than the car technically is not yours... report it to police i guess 1stly
secondly when u take it to court point out that the car had a RWC when you bought it (RIGHT???) and point out that that mech is dodgy.... cus that mechanic would loose their licence over giving a dodgy RWC. also try ringing from a PRIVATE number..

Was it registered when you bought it?
