Which brings me to this question, are BA hatch doors the same as the Hardtop doors?
He recons that it can be fixed - $770. It goes in tomorrow morning. Panel work and paint.

Cheers Steve.

turning off the freeway to my house tonight, somebody had knocked a bollard over and not picked it up. i didnt see it. front bar took the hit, fair few scratches, big scuff marks and bent number plate. not impressed.

does anyone know what would be my best bet to fix it? or how much to replace the bar?

You should have seen the hardtop. I initialy let loose the shampoo foam with the seat on the hood. I only put it on the ground so I could use a broom on it.

Wasn't today (it was Saturday):

but for the small price of some cuts on my hands (my car demands blood sacrifices for any new mods) I installed my JVC headunit that has been in my possesion for about 2 months - the joys of being interstate for work

I also put the a Mazdaspeed 1.3bar radiator cap on as well. Haven't noticed any significant change in temps so far but my engine never really runs all that hot generally so .......

Now Im off to try and track down a fuel pressure reg that Australia Post keeps moving around from Post Office to Post Office. Didnt think they could move your mail around without your authority but apparently they can

yesterday
Red car = re-wired HU and fixed brackets.
Blue car = fixed brackets for HU, ordered new outer cv joint

today
took the blue car for a 90 min drive up the hinterland this morning. new strut brace has really firmed up the steering and stiffened up the suspension. steering wheel feels awesome in my hand in corners, but a little bumpier thru those corners.

you can actually drag the car along using the brace. it is very strong/stiff.
