clear guard indictors for just $44. thats where ours (everyones') are from i think or you could butcher a set of commodore ones but ive already tried that once with little sucess and ended up shelling out $44 for a set of these cheers mike[/colorost_uid0] |

[color=#000000ost_uid0]The 626 blinkers are the same size as the VX commodore ones and im pretty sure the 626 and 323 share the same blinker so they should fit as i have VX blinkers with orange bulbs on my 626, they fit straight in and can be had for less than $30, you will have to silicone them onto your quater panel, and cut a few unneeded bits on the VX blinkers but they do fit!!!
Alternatively you can mount the clear lense on the original backing, here is the write up: http://www.aus-cartalk.com/auspoc/p....htm#sidelights[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]i couldnt get them off either. But i didnt need coz mine slipped over the original ones.
Be careful tho - I messed up my speedo and it was reading 20kph under what I was actually going. The needle had moved or something. I'll be pulling my dash apart one day soon so i can scan mine i suppose. or you can try my pics as a guide ??? If you want a higher resolution photo i can send email u that if you like. [color=#3A6EA5ost_uid0]Just a note on the side indicator lenses...
The part numbers between the clear and orange ones are like -01 and -02. The same part is used in pretty much every Japanese imported Car. My mums 2002 Laser has the exact same side indicator lenses as my 1995 Astina, and I think the Lancers are the same too. Don't worry about genuine (like anyone here really was anyway) as there probably is no such thing as genuine. Some guy in Korea is churning out thousands of these things and sell them to Ford/Mazda/Kia/whatevathafukelse anyways. Cheers Trav[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Is it illegal to have any other colour than orange in the side indicators?? What about the super bright LED's that are fashionable at the moment

[color=#0000FFost_uid0]everything is illegal these days...cant have those led lights, cant have anything but orange for indicator colour etc.
I saw a guy get defected last w'end coz his indicators and parker lights were red. Those washer lights are illegall too... as are neons when the car is moving. You can have em on when you're stationary tho. I was driving once with my neons on and had a cop flash the lights at me from behind...i turned it off and he just left... he mustve got a root or was gonna get a root lol so he let it go. -Mick[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Hey fellas,
I just found this thread in the Mazda6Club.com website and wanted to know if we can get these for our 94-98's. They're supposedly called "Reverse Indiglo's" and this guy has them in his 99 Protege. Adam[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Hey Dan
I just found these. I'm not sure if they're what you're looking for. There are a few other models that you can actual colour, like these ones. I'm going to emial these blokes and see if we can order just the km/h on the speedo rather than the miles and km/h. Adam[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]yeah, that's kinda what i want
but one problem, the astina dials are actually a bit different to the protegé ones... [imgost_uid0]http://hrdwrbob.net/mca/uploads/rupewrecht/astina_speedo_front.jpg[/imgost_uid0] The right gauge is 2 piece, as well as the warning lights on the tacho. And the side warning lights are completely different side warning lights: lhs/rhs [imgost_uid0]http://hrdwrbob.net/mca/uploads/rupewrecht/astina_speedo_lhs.jpg[/imgost_uid0][imgost_uid0]http://hrdwrbob.net/mca/uploads/rupewrecht/astina_speedo_rhs.jpg[/imgost_uid0][/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Ahhhh, POO!!!
I thought the fuel and temp guages looked a little different [i didn't go check the car] As it turns out they only have the dials in MPH only. We'll have to find an australian dist. to get them from Adam[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid1]Dave,
What brand name are your dials. Worth searching to see if anybody has a set sitting on a shelf somewhere. I like the idea of changing it to blue over the green. Ta Mal[/colorost_uid1]
