Thats the way im leaning. The bonnets been noted by the local DoT so it has to come off so i've gotta sell it seperate.

Im even toying up with shooting myself in the foot and trading it in. But out of all seriousness it will be more hassle than its worth to take it back to standard interior wise. Taking out boot install and removing stereo componentry is only a week away.

Thanks for the ideas

yeah just used the bonnet as an example (you could still sell it with the car - just not on the car)

leave the interior
but put the standard rims, standard suspension, standard exhaust system etc all back in

then sell the car for market value (ok so you make a small loss on the interior....) and flog off the other bits seperately

thats how i'd do it, at least

Whatever happens DONT TRADE IT IN.....
You will easily get someone to buy it privately for more than what some car yard stooge will give you.
If worst comes to worst go to a yard, see what they will give you, advertise it for a further week a little above that price, then if no sale...... guess the trade option may have to do

I'd definately return everything to standard that you're able to. You'll sell quicker and most probably will get more money back.

Its only the interior that will be a dilemma to take back to standard, i think it'd be harder to sell an interior than a car with interior.

Im sending the car to the dealer next week to see what they'll come back with, then i'll weigh it up from there.

You may very well see this thread change completely and a few pop up for intakes, boot installs, stereo set ups, etc haha

Or you could offer your car as a swap (maybe + cash) with someone with a stock Astina or Protege, and then sell/trade the stock one.

Interior is going to be biting you in the ass a bit... dont know many people would be interested in what is essentially a 4 seater...hrmmm

pain in the ass factor of returning it to stock though...unless you foudn someone who was willing to swap the trimmed rear seats for their stocko rear seats....

You should swap your interior, Slurm!

The red would go better with the black

Last chance to buy the vehicle in one piece, this weekend is going to be spent removing stereo, bonnet and boot install.

Really have had enough of trying to sell the car as a package so the stereos out, the boot installs out and the bonnets off.

$17k

You may be asking why its almost daily that i drop the price, thats due to my new car being mine UNTIL someone comes along willing to pay retail. And being an 06 plate - if it goes, i have to buy an 07 and wait till they arrive which is NOT ideal haha.

No doubt down the track i'll be kicking myself, but $17,000 ONO will buy the car.

$17,000 ONO will get you;
  1. 18" CTW Wasp wheels with 95% tread front and about 80% rear ($1900)
  2. Kuhmo Exsta rubber measuring 215/35/R18 (Damn low profile) ($300ea)
  3. King Super Low Springs ($300)
  4. Full Exhaust, consisiting of Pacemaker headers, 2.25" Mandrel bent piping, HiFlow cat, MegaFlow muffler, 2.5" Tip (Looks standard)($900 @ Trade Price)
  5. Recaro copy seats retrimmed in red velour (Seats $350 pair)
  6. Complete retrim (pillars, door cards, seats, hoodlining) in red velour ($2000 @ Sponsored Price)
  7. 7" screens mounted in front seats ($250ea)
  8. JVC KDAVX1 3" Single DIN DVD Player/Headunit (Wired to the screens) ($990)
  9. CAI (AirFlowMeter > Pod) Injen Style ($400 Through A Mate Who Is A Metal Worker)
  10. TWM Short Shift Kit ($385)
  11. Custom graffittied engine cover
  12. Arctic Blue bulbs
  • Always Serviced @ Mazda (Seeing I used to work there)
  • End of warranty check done and passed
  • Had power steering pump replaced in September 06
  • Won 'Best 4dr 2000+' at SpinFest
  • Car knocked back by Hot4s due to lack of exterior mod's...meaning the cars a body kit away from a feature

No doubt i'm missing more information. But either way I am getting dire to sell the car, there is nothing wrong with it so don't think thats why i'm dropping the price. I made the mistake to commiting to a car, which i got discounted (hence the reason i've dropped the price so substantially) and is the last one they have. Had I not commited I wouldn't rush to sell the car, and i'd put the body kit on and get the feature.

Please feel free to make an offer, as stated above i'm getting quite desperate for the sale :frown:

Got it listed on all the usual car forums, like hot4s/fastfours/boostcruising/firesport? maybe even ebay?

I may of missed it in earlier posts but what was the specific reason that the bonnet was defected. Is it the material that it is made from or is it just the way is looks. What are you price are you asking for the bonnet? I did see $600 somewhere.
