Got the local shop to make it up for me...
Called Penrith Brake and Clutch. They make up all sorts of dot approved braided lines. If you are interested in cost, they charged me $85 for the line. Also got a quote for an OEM rubber line from them, was roughly $65??

I got my goodridge stainless steel line from rr-racing years ago... it was $30 then, and it is $35 now
crossover auto also has the goodridge and you can order it with the colourflex option for more money goodridge is the best quality I've seen compared to many brands out there

Yeah I know what I paid was quite expansive.. However I needed my car ASAP for work... So I paid the "I need it now" tax. Literally stood there while the guy made it up for me.. Took 30mis.
If you can wait it is usually cheaper to order pre made ones such as goodridge EDIT: just noticed that you are from USA, hence the cheap price for goodridge lines.

So things are kicking along a bit quicker than expected...
Just picked up the new suspension this afternoon And mannnn it's sweet Brand new front and rear KYB excel G shocks With some auto exe progressive rate springs which should drop the car down 30mm.... Perfect Will upload pics of suspension and installation once I eventually get around to actually putting it in. Stay tuned

I got my goodridge brake lines special ordered from the UK because goodridge USA doesn't offer the colourflex option (at that time crossover auto didn't exist)

Yes I know they are basically a slightly improved OEM shock....
Have had some experience with there before. However.... I picked up this full set of shocks and springs quite cheap, so I couldn't pass up the offer. Was originally going to go with these springs and Tokico illuminas but as said... These just came up. So these shocks will do for now, later will get some illuminas. Also I think the saving grace will be the fact that these springs are fairly stiff and being a progressive rate spring will help out the shocks a bit too. also I'm not really dropping it an extreme amount, only 30mm (yes it's a fair bit... But nothing crazy) I know you say they won't last.... But realistically..... Even though I am doing 800k's a week... I will still get years out of them. Most guys out here just go chuck king spring super lows onto their standard shocks and they still don't have problems (just rides a bit crap). Im not sure if you have them over there, but they are a cheap single rate spring with a massive amount of drop . I figured that for now... My way was a bit better However, thank you for the warning nice to see that someone does their research and knows their stuff Thanks, AzzA

Here are the spring rates.
Front: 2.4 - 2.9Kgf/mm (23.5 - 28.4N/mm) Rear: 1.7 - 2.3Kgf/mm ( 16.7 - 22.5N/mm) An that's with a 30mm drop

well I suppose if you got them super cheap, there's no complaining right?
the king springs are actually pretty good... they get a bad name because of the wrong shocks used with them... they are very stiff, almost as stiff as the Mazdaspeed B-Spec springs I use... my B-Spec springs are linear rate (not progressive) so I needed some heavy duty shocks to go with them... sure they aren't that great for bumpy roads, but they ride fairly good for the most part

Pics!
Its time for some Pics
still need to take some better ones... car was just washed Saturday morning... then rained on for the rest of Saturday.... so its a bit dirty. As you can see.... that is the reason i really want to remove those door strips (burnt by a buff) As you can see, still need to tidy up the car a bit, still a work in progress, as said.. need to remove door strips, also going to remove SP20 stickers, going to paint the rear hatch badged matte black, and going to put some clear side indicators on. will take a full photo shoot when this weather decided to hold out long enough the let me clean the car properly :P

Car looks great, rims look the goods. One thing that annoys me about the sp20 is the pissy little exhaust, at least a bigger tip to fill out the space would have been good mazda!
Change that and in my opinion it would compliment everything else you have done so far. |

thanks heaps
and yep couldn't agree more, might have to wait a bit though... was thinking mazdaspeed item. but next mods will still be suspension related, so rear sway bar, front and rear end links, front and rear strut braces, and probably bushes too. also in the mean time some minor exterior mods. then probably moving on to exhaust. p.s. Signature updated just for you
