That rolla will have some massive rub issues with those wheels. Other than that I have a soft spot for the rollas as I have a Holden Nova (AE92 Corolla) in the garage with the 4age black top motor in it as a project car. I still find the astina quicker off the mark and better handling but the acceleration from the quad throttles is amazing.

Mate of mine has an 88 E30 318i 2 door coupe he wants to sell, damn nice looking car but has a rattly lifter, I was going to buy that for a project (before we had to spend the money buying daughter's car). Pick up a smashed E36 or later 325/328 and drop that engine into the coupe what a sweet old car that would be It's already got the M3 bumpers and skirts, 17inch wheels and nice low suspension

Yes but a 12A is 1146cc, not more than. So basically ruling out 13Bs in any form, but not the 12A

cause its more effort then its worth to do anything to them?
(i am a massive rotary fanatic, but i wouldn't touch a 12a, not that ive owned a rotary. the 12a dont seem worth the fuel, parts cost and general labor spent on them. i was gonna get an rx2 but bought the astina for maintenance reasons)

oh and for other manufacturers Mercedes Benz, Suzuki on a motorbike and a handful of light aircraft company's - not popular as they have to add more parts to slow the prop to is ideal revolutions. Mazda however is the only company to mass produce them, the other companies only do small amounts e.g. theres 4000 of the suzuki rotary s compared to the 100,000 rotary s by Mazda

used to have a husqvarna 410te trail bike, thing was a monster, but everyone called it sewing machine or chainsaw, i just love the simplicity of the rotary (in principle) and am in awe of the design, to think its the brainchild of an 19yr old. its amazing, and i love the exhaust note and power to weight ratio, anyway last off topic post from me
