Engine Management Systems for 1.8DOHC Turbo

Hello
A close friend of mine made a custom bolt on turbo install on a 98 1.8DOHC hatch 5 doors Astina(Lantis)
And i tuned it by a Apexi SAFCII.We used orginal injectors so we did not need an EMS before but now we want to go a bigger turbo so i wil need a standalone.
What do you propose to me?I'll be happy if it is a plug and play system.
I'll give some details about car cause can be different at there.
Our engine code : bp297699
Our chasis code : jmzba14p201604140
Thanks
Halil
Here is a few pictures of the car

thats a very.. unique car. i like the lambo doors, not really a fan of the wheels or kits. the second kit does look better IMO.

its very common over here to use microtech units. they're cheap and its easy enough to find a tuner.

Thats a nice car you got there. First time i've seen those rear bars and the first one looks pretty good

As for EMS you could also get a Haltech. From the info on their website if you buy the ecu you get the tuning software and stuff too and it sounds like its not too hard to tune with their software.

Other brands of ems out there include Motec, EMS, Wolf, Link and probably alot more

I think the only manufacturer that makes a plug-and-play is Link. Otherwise any of the manufacturers above would work.

just visited the Link site and it looks great. LC1 compatability too!

however, would it work for a BG with a BPT conversion? i'll intro myself properly soon, but i've got a BG thats had a total transplant from from a Familia GTX. as far as i know the whole engine/loom/piping/intercooler/everything was put into the BG and a plug and play system sounds nice.

Hello
I have some questions for you.Is this EMS is easy to install like any other plug and play EMS like AEM etc?
Which harness etc i must purchase?
And was it the same engine code motor with yours and mine? This is a 1998 bp

yes 100% plug in if you buy the adapterlink module with the link ECU, no need to purchase a harness
the wire in option was really easy and comes with a harness. the plug in one just uses your current one

no my BP engine was one of the better BP engines created also known as the BP22 or precat engine.

small chance that the BA has different dash connector plugs than the BG (with the adapter link was made for,)
but the main ECU wiring plugs are the same as the BG.

someone here can confirm that for you? Rupewrech maybe??

Just curious - in the last photo you can see that there's no door handles on the rear doors. What sort of setup are they on, and how do you open them?

BP26 i think is 3 plug, and BA was 4 from memory. A different amount either way (one left over), but they did plug in. The pins were in fairly different spots though but can be made to work by doing some swapping.

some news on this. they are upgrading the BPT ECUs to G4 spec! here's Link's reply after asking if their system would fit my BG.

"Yes would be the likely answer on this one.
We have dropped the G3 range and are now working on a G4 replacement. This will fit the factory enclosure and match the factory loom. Currently this is looking like it will retail for around $1400nz Spec wise it will be very much like the G4 Storm wirein"

NZ$1400=AU$1250, very cheap considering a Mictotech is about 1100-1150 and doesn't come close to play and play. Plus it should support wideband o2 through the Innovate LC-1, which i've used before to great effect. it will be able to run closed loop and auto-tune itself to a preset AFR.
