G'day,

Just checked with Penfolds Mazda over price of Fog Lights - $500 bucks each ... *Can this be right ?? *Are there any non Mazda, quality fog lights people could recommend for 1996 Astina, BA chassis ?? *Easy to install or should I take them to a dealer ??

thanks in advance, mike[/colorost_uid1]

i was stunned when i found out the price from Mazda, too!

you could easily get a set of Narva/Hella fog lights in a rectangular shape that are more or less the same size as the factory ones for just over $100

oh, Hardtop or Hatch? as the Hardtop has round ones, while the Hatch has rectangular ones.

cheers
Dan[/colorost_uid0]

hahaha bloody mazda,

I wanted fog lights once and i asked my macanic how much it was, and he said orginal madza fog lights were $160 (or was it $260) each. I thought that was expensive at the time, but $500, what a bloody mark up for ppl who aren't connected.

if u really want mazda fog lights, try going to a macanic and then ask them to order and install it for u. ask for the price first though.[/colorost_uid0]

Have a look under the "For Sale" forum, then look for a WTB: Fog Lights started by me (MrShadow). It should help.[/colorost_uid0]

Marinade,
Checkout my post from December, It's a bit involved but should help you
Yes I did buy the switch it fits the standard Aussie spec wiring and blends into the dash. My switch is presently opperating the aircon and doing a fine job with it. The relay is a headlight relay from an '82 929 I had sitting 'round.[/colorost_uid0]

They were actually spotlights not fogs. Leftovers from
my HQ days. I never bothered to wire them in as I didn't
like them all that much after I stuck them in, just had
them in for a couple of months after I had gone to all
the trouble sticking them in.

Here's what it looked like anyway.
