Really something right? haha
Lets lighten the mood, some positives about it. Every electric works (When the car is running ) Sunroof, electric windows, pop up headlights, A/C The engine has a genuine 103k on it. Nothing is wrong apart from what i've said above, those are all nothing really. Tyres are fine and its pretty nippy. Once its painted it should look shmick, and i've always wanted to play around with some paint. Lets face it, $150, half a tank of fuel and rego for another 2 months. Came with stereo with sub and amp, all that probably ends up 5 times as much as i paid for the car hahaha. If i can do what i want to do with it and sell it for about $1500 im going to be stoked. Just need to find me one! |

I always liked the early preludes, they epitomised the greatness of honda back then... but I never really liked the 90s ones
my favourite is the 3rd gen prelude (the generation after yours)... I wanted the fully optioned one with the 4WS when I was a boy

What a deal for the money you paid.
I agree with Marc. Fix it and bring it along for dyno day! |

Well, it doesnt start at all now. Not even with a jump.. Got me stumped. Starter motor? Alternator? Extremely fried batter? Throw it in the trash? haha.

Hit the starter with a hammer.
Cool pickup, btw. Can't argue for $168!

That's my next bet. I've put the battery on the charge, however i don't think its that. Worth a shot. Will chuck it back in the car in about half a hour, if that doesn't work, hammer time.
Got a quote for the alternator. $298 for a brand spanker, in stock at repco. Trying to find a reconditioned, however not proving successful :/ |

However if i can get it running without stopping i'll get my friend to bring it along so you all can look at it before it goes in for paint. It really is a hoot to see haha. |

Time for a update. So what's been happening?
Apart from a epic interior clean (I can now sit in it without feeling grossed out) the alternator, oil and belts have been changed. Now the car hasnt ran since the alt has been installed. I've narrowed it down to a fuel pump issue (It's not going!) but has power running to it. I'm assuming i've messed up a ground when i changed the alt. That's today's mission before uni at 2. Picture time! The engine. Never took one up above ^^ The fun things i bought recently Getting ready for destruction. old vs new. |
