BA pissweak blower fan?
I've got a BJ-II but the missus has a BA, and even on full the fan seems pretty weak compared to the BJ which goes all the way from slight breeze to hurricane settings.
Fact of life for the BA or can I do something about it? |

BA fan should be strong. Pull it out and get the vacume in there, probably just leaves and debris blocking it up.

yeah the BA can go weak due to being blocked on both it's intake and the A/C core evapotrator being covered with crap.
but I don't know if it applys to BA's but it did on eariler mazdas the reistor pack for the fan units can start to age and lead to poor performance. maybe even when cleanign check voltage at the motor. maybe even the rest of the electircal could be weak. Blower units can suck up to 15amp. I know my old BA was plenty strong. |

Yeah it's def weak as ****, had a hot day recently and had to put in on full. On my BJ if you put it on full for one it's bloody loud and two you notice the extra drain on the electrics. I reckon full on the BA is about the same as half on the BJ.
Any pointers for getting into it and cleaning it out and the cabin air intake? I know on the BJ it's buried in the dash and it's a two day job. Haven't got a service manual for the BA (something I really need to get) |

You can compare to mine when you drop round on Saturday if you want. I might even let you borrow my manuals too!
