Edit: Speaking of - how easy is it to screw up the replacement of the needles and where do you get a recalibration (and how much) if you do so. I should prolly know these things before jumping in head first lol. I am just full of questions today Last edited by DarkMaTTer; 31-07-2007 at 03:23 PM. |

Speedo/tacho needles are easy. What i do is wind them round to as far as they do, and make a mark. Then when you put them back on, align them to the mark again. For the temp, remove it when the car is warm, and replace it when the car is warm again, otherwise it's virtually impossible. For the fuel, make sure the car is full or gas and make a note of where it sits.
I use a fork to life the needles off - luckily the BAs needles are designed to come off, unlike some BG/BJ ones which are glued on.

'made urself' my ass.
The good thing abt these ones ( and my old ones ) is that you dont need to remove the needle at all. The center hole is the size of the needle mount thing, you slide the needle through the hole and the new EL dial falls down over the old dial. Rupe's needed to remove the needle to remove the old dial ( unless you wanted to cut it ) because it has transparent bits for the light to come through |

So with the BA EL ones you don't need to remove the needle? Makes it a bit easier.
