Seben don't make anything, they just sell Chinese knockoffs... So your car will still be based on something real not from China.

seben racing sold be a body and 4 sets of rims/tyres. they body was ok and cheap (total was like $50 shipped!) and the rims were ok, but the tyres. bald within 5 minutes of driving. great for burnouts but
on another note im waiting till 4:30 to pick up my 2 parcels from the post office that would be, a nitro xt8 and a motor/esc package too .... unless i bought something else i forgot about :P

i got one sitting here for you! comes with temp sensor and everything! just need to solder on a balance plug (which you can easily get!)
this is what ive got myself into. just odered another $150 worth of hardware to make it work... still need a servo and some tyres (why are MT tyres so damn expensive!) so thatll be another $200 or so... also another body @ some stage... ordered some more onroad rims/tyres too... truck: $200 electronics: $230 Batteries: $130 for 2x6s 5000mah motor mount, pinions, battery tray: $175 hmm... it seemed cheap when ii started it... hopefully itll go as hard as my other one and be a bit lighter being XRAY

arrived 2dai. the brushless and the 75A ESC chewed through my bateries (the 5000mah 2S lasted about 35-40min of floggin) but it burns grass, climbs street gutters and flies efortlessly. best ~150 ever spent on a toy. shoulda bought this instead of the drift car straight up BUT i got some high grip tyres for the drift car to c how ti can handle itself as a track car haha i know the stickers say wind hobby but its same sht as HSP (same company but for differnt markets or something i dunno) |

What scale is that as I have just bought the Losi 1/36th desert truck.
After having a go of Gav's mini hornet I couldn't resist another offroader but in micro scale. It measures only 15cm long and only cost me $99. Will most likely upgrade it to a brushless as well. |

haha jarrod i wont let you play with my new toy... youll be wanting one of these too haha. this thing flies. geared for 54km/hr on 6s and everything stays cool and lasts ages round the track. i am one very happy man. showed my boss and he was bloody impressed having delt with industrial motors/controllers/batteries for a long time and was amazed at how small the components were to make so much fun haha. going to phdr today - hoping someone will be there with a key and let me in for some practise.

imho, go for a 5000 of decent quality and it will outlast most 6000's on ebay... just my opinion cheaper to. just ordered another 2 30c 4000's and 2 3s 4000's so i can now make any combination of batteries from 4v-50 volts. had a bash today too. was getting 5+ meters of air and only a shock boot tore which was already cracked so im happy! batteries looked fine after a few massive hits so thats good too. sacrificed my front speakers for the ability of charging while driving... which is pretty awesome...until you realise how bad the sound sounds.

today i replaced the shock towers with new upgraded ones, the base thickness of the parts incresed by about 50% and the reinforced sections are over 2x the original thickness i couldnt be happier ATM in regards to this car
found out that HSP make a range of carbon fibre things like chassis, radio trays and shock towers as well as other litthe things.. hmm its awesome but il never use it (cheap 2 ) |

It is very addictive. I have upgraded the little micro to lipo now and it has about double the power. Now tho I keep getting thermal shutdown. Oh well will upgrade to a brushless setup and then it will disappear.

Pretty much any brand will work. I got some extended posts from some random chassis for my van.

I ended up going with a complete suspension kit from Tamiya that My Toys Toyworld in Ipswich had, and as a bonus gave me 4 short & 4 long posts, seeing mine were cut!
They had so much stock there it wasnt funny, nearly fell into temptation and bought a GT40 painted body, but I already have 4!
