8" is very wide unless you've got the perfect offset. No, you'll have to work that out yourself.

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
185/60-14------4.4in--11.4in---22.7in------71.4in------887-----0.0% 235/40-18------3.7in--12.7in---25.4in------79.8in------794-----11.7% how does that tell me how my speedo will read? faster or slower? does it mean when it says 100kmph i will be doing 111.7kmph? cheers Last edited by skitz; 23-05-2007 at 11:44 PM. |

CHANGE IT TO METRIC YFI!!!
WHY do you want 8" wide rims??? You're just going to: limit your tyre choice, reduce the number of companies willing to insure you, make your car dangerous to drive in wet weather because it will aquaplane, and cause excessive tramtracking on uneven roads... But ofcourse there's no way of stopping you. The best way for you to learn a lesson in life is go right ahead and do it wrong so you know better for next time. I am testimony to that sentiment... Go 17"s - They are hotter on a car always - otherwise your liberachy
What size are your current/damaged ones? Both those styles look sick by themselves - but might not suit your beast. . . Grab a couple more designs . . . Who knows. . . Just remembeer 17"s make things lots easier and $300 dollars extra could be spent on your new front splits. . . . Peace Heb |

the astinas look better with 17s...18s have too small of tyre wall...have you lowered the car? if not it will prob look quiet funny with larger wheels

okay its ALL GOOD after seeing them next to my car i almost threw up hahahaha
i have now decided on the rims after going to every shop in canberra and wont be swayed... i am geting 17" X 7" 4X100 40 offset. all 4 for $780 (that includes the 10% markup for finance they all charge) now my biggest prob is i have 4 options for tyres.... 205/40/17 Pirelli Dragon $275 X4 $1100 (have heard that they have a lot of road noise but are durable) Bridgestone G3 $280 X4 $1120 (currently using these and love em) Dunlop(goodyear) sport maxx $260 X4 $1040 (bang for buck these were recomended) Falken FK452 $190 X4 $760 (cheap performance this was recomended) all packages prices are including the 10% surcharge and also include a front and rear wheel alighnment and balance!!! total price with the G3's is $1900... with 12 months interest free i am paying $190 extra to interest free them! sob i currently am using the G3's and am very happy but i have NFI what the others are like they will be being bought on monday so yeah i want all your opinions... i will make this in a new thread too ow and as a side note... i CAN legally put 18" rims on my astina hahahahaha but after talking with heaps off specialist i decided against it for both rubing when lowered and comfort inside the car as i will have to go a very low profile!!!! but so everyone in ACT knows..... you are legally aloud to go 11mm higher than the STOCK diamiter... so my new 17" are 1mm larger and my car with 18" on it is 8mm larger so both are legal. ow and i will put up pics tonight of what they looked like and i will put up pics monday of all 4 on my car cheers Last edited by skitz; 24-05-2007 at 04:25 PM. |
