Welcome.......10 sec non-turbo? ohhhhhh......outta cost you about $40k & be as illegal as you can possibly get & absolutely non-drivable on the road so, considering even a ZE won't get you anywhere near 12's without much much $$$$'s & mistakes, sorry to burst your bubble but it aint gonna happen dude

welcome.
10 sec car although not possible in a street driven astina. at least you have a goal to work towards. start with suspension and tyres/wheels. |

i knew someone had a descent one.
if you want a 10sec street legal car astina isnt for you. you want about 180hp and handle like a go-kart then the astina is for you. ask the boys here who do the motorkhanas.

Welcome to AGT.
Perhaps be a bit more realistic until you're off your Ps...but good on you for wanting to modify your car.

and that was turbo'ed...non turbo a different story...if ya want a 10sec car chop the front off make all custom tubing frame and put in a bullet V8...
the best you will run on a N/A BG Astina would be about 13-14sec and that would be with a **** load of work

i can build you a KLDE copy of my race engine with about 180wKW.... but with a dry sump and MOTEC ecu... you would be looking at 13-14k just for engine, gbox and wiring inc ecu...

you can also get a stroker kit for a BP which will cost you 5K and will give you 190kw (was it?? or was it hp??)
yall should stop being so damn cynical all the time.. why tell the person to drop it from a plane.. thats just plane stupid i mean the thread title is pretty farking stupid.. you cant POSSIBLY make the astina in to a 10sec car thats p plater friendly.. power/weight would make it illegal.. if you put a V8, then you cant drive it either.. |

smallblock v8 (which you still cant drive and which wouldn't be legal) with rwd conversion. or turbo 13b (which could be legal but you cant drive) and rwd conversion

ah welcome. i guess if you start stripping your car it would probably shave off 1 second but then you have about 15 more seconds to shave off... 10 seconds is a bit hard for a non turbo unless you drop a v12 in it :P.

I personally would aim for a 15 second car, its more than fast enough for a everyday driver.
That is a lot more achievable than a 10 sec car. I think the only way to get a 323 to do a 10 sec pass is have a top fueler tow it down the drag strip, which would be kind of funny to see. |
