Ok Now I'm Horny!!!!

Picked up my new 'babies' for the rally car today!

Been waiting a while, and these are LONG overdue!

(Sorry about the photo quality!!!)

Quad carbies off a '94 Kawasaki ZZR1100!!! $220!!!

The lada was orginally built when the regulation wouldn't let you change manifolds or carbies, so its still got stock intake and exhaust, and stock carby, 90degree bent included... Now those that have seen the car, know it isn't slow as is, its as worked internally as possible, knife edged crank, high comp etc., but its always been restricted, and struggled down low, despite happily reving to close to 9000rpm...

Reaons for going motorcycle quad carbies...

1. All ready packed together, with single butterfly linkage connecting all four carbies..
2. Similar capacity to lada 12,000rpm 1100cc vs 8800rpm 1300cc...
3. Obivously much higher performance that stock lada one (which in factory spec, fueled the beast to an earth shattering 43kw!!!)
4. At the time, the ZZR was the most powerful 1100cc in the world, so its a known performance quality, and bike carbies are used to high vibration and harmonics, to rallying should be a breaze for them!!!
5. Cheap!!! $220, vs what would be WELL over a grand if i went down the delorto/webber road!!!

I'm happy!!!

Is that something like a barby?

Nice score Astro, will be interesting to see how they go. At least with carbies you don't have to hook it up to a supercomputer to tune the bloody thing, and they can be adjusted if need be on the day, with minimal tools and fuss.... you just need to know what you're doing!
Good luck with it

40mm each! Which certainly beats the dual 35mm it has now!

While while i'm at it (and after killing it at rally q) i'm gonna be replacing the somewhat standard exhaust with a full system, extractors included...

So, quad carbies, proper exhaust, and 9,000rpm... Horny is definately the word!
