your certainly an excitable lad

Try & understand it's not all about the size of an engine bro. Power-to-weight ratio is something every budding performance buff must take the time to understand. Prior to any modification they may have in mind to make to their particular car.

Whilst my performance interests & intentions I'm quite sure are totally different to yours. Everything I do to my car or even think of doing MUST revolve around the power to weight law of physics. That's not rocket science buddy. Simple fact!

The 2.0L V6 engine's spiffiness you've experienced is due to 2 main things. The bore & stroke ratio of the engine (determining it's performance characteristics) has it revving high & therefore accelerating quickly, giving you that feel of invigoration whereas, an engine that has a longer stroke would be less responsive down low yet have the legs to give you that pulling (torque) feel more up top. Also. The weight of the car compared to yours Heavy cars need torque to gain good power. Lighter cars get away with less torque but higher revving engines. That's why smaller (pocket rockets) like Chicaboo's KE & my little BF are so much fun to drive & feel like the wheels are tied to ice skates @ times haha cause' they are light & the power to weight ratio is well favoured with power!

Whilst your ZE may put out 200hp at the fly & a stock B6T only 135, still doesn't mean you will mash the B6T due to it weighing around 950kgs. See where I'm going?

Thanks Naughty :P

Yes, i understand i know, the physics. im a car man all my life, i drive my first car into a tree ,my dads 1991 4ws, honda prelude 2.0 manual, when i was 3 years old lol

Yeh, my first car was a mini cooper, and that was fun, 1000kilos was fun,and reasonable power, stiff suspension.

I wrote that off when i was 19 years old. ive learned now after 6 years.

Your points have helped me alot, to understand more the driving physics

My favourite car, is the 1973 porsche 911 2.7 rs power to wieght crazy and fast, too bad its expensive lol

FOund out what was wrong with ,my car, the suspension settleed in, the toe was badly out and wheel alignment gone.

braking was poor, and speed was non existent.

did a proper wheel alignment at pedders, got the suspension sorted.

this car really flies now, andthe brakes are working better.

dont get me wrong, im getting front slotted and cross drilled discs soon.

cant wait.

it does feel like a high 14 second car, im scared to take it eastern as i got no ad-whateva approved helmet. plus i dont want to break something in the process of racing.

and im too busy with a woman lately.

got the bmc intake stuck on, fitted nicely, and the induction roar is even more present. crazy.

I want to buy anotha KL-ZE in a reasonable to bad state. Enough to fully built with JUN internals, i want this engine to rev to 8000rpm to 8500 rpm.

ill get my cousin to build it for me.

thats my plans. and keeps my reasonably stocky Kl-ze now safe and im pristine condition for back up.

my Source - Wikipedia (always reliable)

Engine choice was the KL-ZE 2.5 DOHC V6 making 200 bhp (150 kW), a high compression version of the KL-DE, or the KF-ZE 2.0 DOHC V6 making 159 bhp (119 kW), all of the K series engines in the MX6 were based on the same engine block and included those found in the Ford Probe, Xedos 6 and MX-3 V6 models.. The KLZE had appromixately 40 more horsepower than the KLDE versions for a few reasons.

i know it 150 kilowatts stock, with the mods on it, im hoping 10 kw more than stock. hoping buddy lol. i would get it dynoed lol

Have a search for some posts by boostedbatman - he sourced a heap of stuff from some guys in NSW that had a hand in the BTCC Mondeo engines (that used a destroked KL) - stronger rods and cams etc, from memory
