Thanks so much for supplying the wheel and muffler, you are the parts king!
A SP20 with NC rims is like perfection to me. I don't enjoy not being able to climb my own driveway, its low enough as it is for me. haha |

Have you thought about going black with those wheels? Black wheels against white paint looks awesome!

How much was the wheel. The interior looks 10x better without the 2 tone wheel.

Also think the black wheel, overall, wears better than the tan areas of the standard nardi, which seem to wear faster. |

Well it looked good brand new, but agree white/tan is never a good choice for something you put your hands on every time you drive!

Just a pic of an evening mountain run.
I had leaking coolant hoses even before the track day so finally got around to to replacing them 2 weeks ago. Also degreased the block and much of the gearbox and surrounding areas. Some fairly decent corrosion on the outlets Cleaned up fine though. Replaced both hoses and coolant, and no leaks to date. Finally bought some wheels last Sunday for a bargin price. SP23 04'-06' rims 17x6.5 215/45 3 out of 4 are in good shape, one of them has a few gashes and scratches on it but is repairable. The wheels had been sitting in a backyard for a year so that's why they were so dirty. I gave all the wheels a bit of a clean and polish and this was the result. Went out last night to take some photos, didn't use a tripod so that's why they're a little blurry... Car sits purrfectly in my eyes, when I buy new tyres (which will have to be pretty soon) I'll have to go for 215/40 to make the speedo read like stock, even though at the moment it reads pretty much exact. Love these wheels :P
Changed the gearbox oil last week... no pics though So this is a problem I've known about for awhile. Both of the timing belt plastic covers have been rubbing on the crankshaft pulley, drive belt and water pump pulley because someones installed it incorrectly when doing the timing belt replacement. Once I removed both drive belts, camshaft cover, engine mount, waterpump pulley and the crankshaft pulley I was able to see the extent of the damage. Was glad to see everything underneath was in fine. The crankshaft position sensor was covered in plastic residue though. The rubber of the engine mount was fine, but for some reason it is free to rotate. The shaft should not be able to slide out like that, I'll be replacing it soon. Cleaned up the crankshaft position sensor. Ouch Cleaned and installed the new lower and upper covers. |

September - November 2014 Update.
I was driving around one day a few months back and spotted this. Took a 700km road trip up and back to the sunshine coast for the weekend. Once there, the car found its over-night parking spot at a nearby bunnings... Fixing my headlights. hehe I then replaced both rear wheel hubs due to rear right wheel bearings being noisey. Just one weekend out trying to found some good spots for photos. |

2nd location was awesome...
Built only a few months apart, back in 2001. Finally bought some decent tyres for my SP23 wheels. Yokohama A-Drive R1's 215/40 ZR17 87W Original rims with 195/50 16's next to my SP23 rims Went for a long drive on some nice roads last Sunday. Love this one. Last thing, I got given some seat covers, have wanted some just like these for ages just to preserve the seat fabric. Last edited by TheLast323; 09-11-2014 at 07:42 PM. |

Got the car up on stands yesterday to do a few things to my Autoexe muffler that I've been wanting to do for ages. Once removed I polished it like mad. I've got problems with the muffler sounding like its rubbing on other components when I take really hard left turns. I bent the heatshielding out of the way as much as possible. I also bent the hanger rods for better alignment of the muffler tip and made rubber spacers so the muffler can't slide from side to side as much. This is what happen to my previous rear skirt while on the track. :P I am yet to take the car up to the hills to see if the metal rubbing noise is gone. |

Bought an MX5 Nardi Torino gearknob from Mazda, being the last one left in Australia,
it wasn't cheap. Later on I also got a NB MX5 leather shift boot to go with my short shifter, it looks OEM now. Also bought a second-hand Wholesale adjustable rear sway bar from another member. Also got Peddars cut-to-length adjustable sway bar links Installed. Before... After... Also done an oil change, from now on I'm doing them every 5,000kms. Also doing brake pads and discs all round soon, aswell as brake/clutch fluid renewal. Then I took the car to Mt. Nebo (North side of Brisbane) for a day. Tunnels are nice... 2 weekends ago I went on the mcm bbq and cruise. Ended up doing 500kms that day, the most epic drive I've ever been on. Mt. Nebo in the dark was the highlight. Light fog was epic.
