Bruce's Carpark Surprise!!! and Window Tint Woes!!!!

Aaron had a nice game of carpark surprise this afternoon which has ended up with Bruce being booked in for some minor cosmetic work on Monday.

So now we are asking about the availability on a Rear bar (sans skirts), LHSR tailight assembly at Ford in Mitchell.

Bruce will also need a little metal work to un ding the edge of the tailight recess....

There goes the $450 excess

Then after this come the discovery that the brand new window tint that was done same day basically needs to have all 4 doors redone as it's inconsistent and dodgey looking. There are bits of the glass that you can see from the outside of the car that have no tint on them.
I have never seen a car where the tinters claim they couldn't get the tint all the way on the glass properly.

It looks very tacky.

Aaron has rung up the big boss and he said that apparently it is becuase they can't get the stuff inside the seals properly. (BS in my humble opinion)

Has anyone else had this problem? Or ever heard/seen it before?

When I look at the drivers side of bruce, where the two door join together is where the gaps in the tint are, each about 5mm.
But when I look on the passenger side, the rear door has gap in same spot in middle of car, but front window has the gap down the front by the wing mirror........

*grumbles*

Not a happy day
It would appear that some days aren't worth getting out of bed

Why is the car called Bruce? thats bad luck with the damage. its only metal will get fixed .

with the tint. i have seen the tint about 5mm gap around the window. thats so when u put the window up the tint doesnt peel off. My tint went right to the edge and was peeling off. but its all off now and love the look without tint 8)

No pics Jimbo.....

These gaps aren't at the top Mik, they are around the sides.........

And they look crappy!

I put practically the same post on the other forum and EVERYONE there says we have been rorted. No one has had the same shonky work as we have copped.

Am about to go and give them a good flogging and leave them to suffer in the litter!

*fumes*

Maaybe Bruce has found a job out frount of the tinters with a sign inviting potential customers to view the quality of their work and judge for themselves.
The bang in the bum will help to draw attention.

Yep, have had plenty of tint jobs done and as Rod says, there needs be onlt a tiny gap to allow clear travel as the window goes uo and down.

Should be re-done...properly...gratis and cheerfully.
