My Astina

Hi all, new to the forum, picked up my BA a couple of weeks ago, and finally have her all registred and roadworthy.....

Shes got all the things you Astina-lovers love or love to hate:
Leaking BP rocker cover gasket and dizzy oring
CV or diff issue
Window rollers in the front and a rear window no-go
Electric mast broken
Sway bar knocks im thinking.....

All things im quite capable of fixing myself hopefully, have pulled the inner cvs apart and inspected, cleaned, regreased and clamped up. Yet to check the outers for wear, need to buy a cheap impact wrench to take the nut off.....and if its the diff in the f**** series box then its gearbox 101 for me one weekend......
Rocker cover just needs a bit of ultra grey and an extremely good degrease......
The mast well i know the Aerpro one from Repco/Autobarn etc will fix it but i hate trims, theres allways something that breaks......
Window rollers, ive got another thread going to try and sort that pet hate.....

Apart from that shes had brakes, shocks, top hats, springs, tyres and wheels done by the previous owner so its like im back in the go-karts after twenty years!!!!!

Welcome to the madness haha. Another score for the BA brissy team being overrun by the bgs as of late. I have a working antenna here too, well I'm pretty sure it works! I can test it if you're interested in a stock replacement. Also have parts/tools galore if you need them at some point.

Haha yeah excellent, between all the Proteges/323s/lasers in the pick-your-own wreckers yards and this forum weve got a lot of avenues for cheap or free fixes. As for the bodies, well thats another story. All my roof mould clips are broken and im wincing at having to pay for new ones as all secondhand ones have been baked by the queensland sun and are screwed, the price we pay to live in paradise, nevermind, much more important things to be addressed before silly trims and moulds.......
